A former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Olujimi, has dismissed concerns that Labour Party’s Peter Obi poses any challenge to President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Olujimi said Obi’s strong showing in the 2023 election hinged on his eloquence, but she believes that approach has lost its impact ahead of the 2027 polls.

“The rhetoric of the last election will not work again, except he comes with another gimmick. And you see, this (Tinubu) is a politician, a man who knows the terrain well,” she said.
Olujimi, who once served as Senate Minority Leader, argued that Tinubu’s deep-rooted political experience makes him a tough opponent to unseat in the next election.
