Senators representing Osun State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner have openly declared their support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday, May 20, Senators Kamarudeen Oyewumi (Osun West), Olubiyi Ajagunla (Osun Central), and Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East) said they were backing Tinubu for a second term, praising his leadership and policy direction.
The endorsement followed a meeting among the lawmakers where they unanimously agreed to support the President’s 2027 candidacy.
Meanwhile, they highlighted his governance record, economic reforms, and infrastructure development, describing them as strong indicators of his capability to lead the country further.

“This endorsement is not just symbolic, it reflects our deep confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on the promise of democracy.
“The Osun PDP Senators’ Caucus is united and unwavering in its support. There is no internal dissent; we stand as one,” the statement read.
Also, the senators also pointed to what they called visible improvements in national security and falling food prices as proof of the administration’s progress.
They concluded by urging President Tinubu to maintain and expand his development efforts for the benefit of all Nigerians.
