23 ships discharge petrol, frozen fish, others at Lagos ports

Twenty-three ships on Tuesday discharged bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, general cargo, frozen fish, container, base oil, bulk clinker and petrol at the Lagos ports, Nigerian Ports Authority said.

The NPA disclosed this in its publication titled ‘Shipping Position’. It added that items such as ethanol, bulk sugar and automobile gasoline were also discharged.

According to the agency, 16 other ships, laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are being expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex from March 16 to April 4.

This is even as nine other ships that had already arrived the ports are waiting to berth with container, petrol, base oil, bulk malt and automobile gasoline.
