Nigerian music legend, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, has proposed to Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly, just a day after publicly confirming their relationship.
A viral video circulating on social media captured the heartfelt moment when 2Baba went down on one knee and presented Osawaru with a ring.
The proposal, which took place in the midst of friends, was sealed with a long and tender embrace as the couple danced together.
On Wednesday, the ‘African Queen’ crooner officially confirmed his romance with Natasha, expressing deep affection for her. “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” he declared, sending social media into a frenzy.
Addressing speculations surrounding their relationship, 2Baba defended Osawaru against critics who labeled her a “home breaker.” He insisted that she played no role in his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, which he had disclosed last month while announcing their ongoing divorce proceedings.
Natasha Osawaru is a rising politician and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Born on November 14, 1994, she hails from Egor Local Government Area in Edo State.
