An online petition on change.org is drawing wide attention as more Nigerians say they want Senator Ned Nwoko to face public scrutiny over alleged abuse of power. The lawmaker represents Delta North Senatorial District, and the petition has crossed 34,000 signatures.
The campaign was initiated by Sammy West, brother to Regina Daniels. He claimed the senator violated basic rights and went after Regina and her relatives.
The petition stated that, “Nwoko’s alleged misconduct is not only an affront to Regina Daniels and her family but also a potential threat to all Nigerians who believe in fairness, justice, and the rule of law.
“His actions were reportedly more than just personal transgressions; they reflect a misuse of influence that undermines the democratic principles Nigeria relies upon.
“The alarming reports circulating in the media claim that Nwoko has leveraged his position and influence to obstruct legal rights and intimidate.

“Such actions, if left unchecked, could pave the way for an environment where influence overshadows justice. Nigerians in Lagos and beyond should not remain silent onlookers to these grave accusations”.
The development comes after Regina accused her husband of physical assault. She claimed she was beaten in his home.
The senator released a statement rejecting the allegations. He insisted Regina’s claims were false and blamed her comments on “alcohol and drugs.”
