Nwosu to clerics: Follow Tinubu’s example in uniting Nigeria

Uche Nwosu, the former Chief of Staff to ex-governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, has urged religious leaders to follow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s example of uniting the nation.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Nwosu responded to a statement by a Muslim cleric who suggested that Tinubu should appoint a Muslim as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to concerns about Christians and southerners in power.

Nwosu called on religious leaders to emulate President Tinubu, emphasizing his inclusive approach by appointing individuals from both religions to his cabinet.

He stressed the importance of leaders, both in politics and religion, working towards national unity, bridging divides, and finding common ground for the progress of the nation.

Furthermore, Nwosu urged religious leaders to set positive examples for younger generations, encouraging them to follow the principles of Lord Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammad. He highlighted the need for religious leaders to focus on helping the less fortunate rather than using their positions for personal gain or political influence.

In conclusion, Nwosu appealed to religious groups to promote peace, unity, and support for government policies and programs in Nigeria.
