Immigration Silent on Alleged Arrest of Bobrisky

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has remained silent following circulating reports that its officers arrested popular Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, at the Seme border on the 21st of October, 2024.

The alleged arrest quickly gained attention on social media after activist Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), took to Instagram to share the news.

He claimed Bobrisky was apprehended while attempting to flee into the Benin Republic.

Efforts to confirm the incident from the immigration authorities have so far been unsuccessful, as they have yet to respond to media inquiries.

VDM further shared a message from an anonymous source, stating, “Bobrisky was arrested this morning at the Seme border while trying to escape to the Benin Republic.

“He sent someone to sign his international passport, but hid inside his car. The Nigerian Immigration Service is currently detaining him.”
