The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of at least 10 Muslim worshippers, including an Imam, during the early morning (Subhi) prayer in Bushe, Sabon Birni Local Government Area.
Police spokesperson DSP Ahmed Rufai, speaking on Friday, said, “I just confirmed the incident from the DPO of the community when I spoke with him on the telephone.
“I want to assure you that the Nigeria Police, in conjunction with other security agencies, are working tirelessly to ensure the immediate release of all the abductees.”

A local source told PUNCH that armed men stormed the mosque at dawn on Thursday, seizing worshippers despite the presence of security forces, including troops from Operation Fasan Yamma.
Sa’idu Ibrahim, a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly representing the area, also confirmed the attack, stating that at least 10 people were kidnapped. However, he commended the troops for preventing further abductions.
