The gruesome attack in Udune Efandion community, Uromi, Edo State, on March 27, 2025, has sparked nationwide outrage, with calls for swift justice against those responsible for the act of mob violence.
Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, condemned the attack in a statement on his personal Facebook page on Friday, describing it as a “harrowing display of mob injustice and a sad reminder of the barbarity of jungle justice.”
He stressed the need for all Nigerians to move freely without fear of intimidation or harassment.
“It is a general perception that citizens all over the country must be able to move about without intimidation or harassment,” he stated.
Kwankwaso urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice.
