Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has dispelled rumours about his health by making a public appearance at an Eid-El-Fitr event in Abuja.
Speculation on Friday night claimed Wike had collapsed at a meeting, was rushed to the State House Clinic, and diagnosed with excessive alcohol consumption.
The unverified reports further suggested he suffered a partial stroke and was later flown to France for treatment.
However, Lere Olayinka, Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, dismissed the claims as “fake news.”
