DSS Arrests Key Suspects in Edo Mass Killing

Operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have apprehended two principal suspects linked to the killing of 16 Nigerians of Northern extraction in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State last week.

Acting on credible intelligence, DSS operatives arrested the suspects in Uromi while security agencies continue their hunt for other key individuals involved in the tragic incident.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, had earlier revealed during a condolence visit to Kano State on Monday that 14 other suspects had already been detained in connection with the killings and were set to be transferred to Abuja for further interrogation.

During his visit, Governor Okpebholo assured the victims’ families that justice would be served, vowing that all those responsible for the heinous act would face the full wrath of the law.
