The Russian Defence Ministry on Monday reported that Ukrainian forces suffered significant casualties and equipment losses in the past 24 hours during intensified clashes in the Kursk direction.
According to the ministry’s statement, no fewer than 235 Ukrainian service members were killed in a single day. The ministry also claimed that since the beginning of the offensive in this direction, Ukraine has lost more than 74,245 personnel and 406 tanks.
The latest update detailed the destruction of an armored personnel carrier, three combat armored vehicles, 14 military vehicles, and four field artillery systems. Additionally, Russian forces reportedly neutralized four mortars and a BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system.
While the claims remain unverified by independent sources, the Russian Defence Ministry emphasized that Ukrainian forces are continuing to face severe resistance along the front lines in the Kursk region.

There has been no immediate response from Kyiv regarding the reported losses.
