US Senator Blasts Trump: A Hundred Days of Suffering for Americans

As President Donald Trump clocks 100 days into his second term, US Senate Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer, is not holding back. Schumer, a New York Democrat, slammed Trump’s leadership, painting a grim picture of the president’s early days in office.

Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on the 20th of January, 2025, will officially complete his first 100 days on Tuesday, the 29th of April 2025.

Taking to his X account on Monday morning, Schumer didn’t mince words:
“Donald Trump’s first 100 days as president have been 100 days from hell for the American people. His first 100 days have been the worst for any president in modern history.”

Schumer’s attack follows his recent praise for a federal judge’s move to temporarily block Trump’s attempt to strip collective bargaining rights from employees across nearly a dozen government agencies and departments.

Will Schumer’s fierce opposition rally more critics around Trump, or will it fuel deeper political battles ahead?
