APC Governors Endorse Tinubu for 2027, Pledge Nationwide Mobilisation

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday threw their full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, endorsing him as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The unanimous endorsement came during the APC National Summit held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marking a major political milestone in the build-up to the next electoral cycle.

The motion, symbolically moved by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Senator Hope Uzodimma, was swiftly seconded by Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, sparking thunderous applause from party leaders, delegates, and stakeholders in attendance.

Addressing the gathering, Uzodimma affirmed the collective resolve of the APC governors to support President Tinubu’s reform-driven leadership and ensure his victory at the polls in 2027.

“This is not just a show of support. It is a commitment to deliver,” Uzodimma declared. “We believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda and we are determined to take the message to every corner of our states.”

Governor Sani reinforced the message, describing President Tinubu as the “architect of a new Nigeria,” whose policies have begun to deliver visible progress in key sectors like infrastructure development, economic recovery, and social investments.

The APC governors’ public declaration is viewed as a powerful signal of party unity and strategic positioning.
