Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemates, Zion and Chinwe, stirred up drama on the premiere episode of their reunion show, aired Monday night. The ex-couple clashed over who initiated their breakup.
Zion insisted he called it off, stating: “I basically ended things (broke up with Chinwe).”
When host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked for his reason, Zion responded: “Because I felt like we were moving in different places in our lives; how she let it play out.”
Chinwe disagreed with his version, calling it “a lie.” She argued that the relationship didn’t end because of misaligned goals, but rather due to Zion’s “nonchalant attitude.”
Visibly upset, Chinwe said: “What Zion will not do is sit here and lie on me now.”
Zion fired back: “How did I lie on you?”

Chinwe snapped: “You could have owned the narrative, my love. What do you mean you broke up with me?”
She recalled how Zion chose to party all night on the eve of her trip, even after she asked him to come home.
According to Chinwe, he switched off his phone and later claimed he couldn’t get a ride though he went to a friend’s place instead of seeing her.
She also revealed that his relatives and close friends turned against her after she mentioned on the show that she had financially supported Zion’s entry into the competition.
