Suspected bandits have allegedly kidnapped the Village Head of Bauda in Maro Community, under Kufana Chiefdom, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to reports, the abduction occurred on Saturday, around 1:00 a.m., when armed men stormed the village and took away the traditional ruler, Mr. Obadiah Iguda.
A source, Mr. Stephen Maikori, disclosed that the gunmen appeared to have specifically targeted the village head.
“No other resident was harmed or abducted, and no properties were looted during the attack,” he said.
“This senseless act of violence has further deepened the atmosphere of insecurity and fear among the residents of Bauda and its surrounding communities,” Maikori stated in the letter addressed to His Royal Highness.
