The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially reinstated Senator Samuel Anyanwu as its national secretary.
The announcement came on Monday, June 30, after the party’s 100th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the meeting, PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, confirmed Anyanwu’s return to the position.

“Anyanwu has been officially reinstated,” Damagum said, putting an end to months of uncertainty surrounding the secretary’s status.
Damagum also revealed that the party’s next NEC gathering, the 101st, has been scheduled for July 23.
The meeting, he noted, will focus on finalising preparations for the PDP’s upcoming national convention.
