The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ketu-Ikorodu road, and major roads around Lagos State were noticeably deserted on Saturday morning as local government elections took place across the state.

The movement restrictions were imposed by security agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process across the Local Government Areas in Lagos State.
Security operatives were also seen stationed at strategic points, while election officials and materials were being deployed to designated polling units.
