PICTORIAL: LASIEC Distributes Election Materials in Orile‑Agege LG Polls

As the highly anticipated local government chairmanship elections begin, officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) were seen transporting election materials to polling units in Orile‑Agege, Lagos State.

Ad-hoc staff began the distribution in the early hours, moving sensitive and non-sensitive items—such as ballot papers, result sheets, and other voting essentials—from the area’s central collation center to individual polling stations across the Orile‑Agege Local Council Development Area.

According to LASIEC, these preparations follow the formal movement restrictions imposed by the state police, which will remain in effect from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, to uphold public safety and electoral integrity.

First News correspondent learnt that officials are on track to begin accreditation and voting as the stage is set for a largely peaceful and transparent electoral process in Orile‑Agege.
