Nollywood star Omoni Oboli has opened up about the foundation of her 24-year marriage to Nnamdi Oboli.
Speaking with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Omoni said the strength of their relationship comes from a firm decision they made early on divorce was never an option.
“From day one, we decided that divorce was not an option even before we got married,” she said.
That mindset, she explained, helped them stay committed even when the first year of marriage tested them.
Forgiveness, according to her, also plays a major role in keeping their bond strong.
“There’s almost nothing someone can do that you can’t forgive, if you want to forgive. We all have to realise that we’re all sinners,” she added.

Omoni described their journey as far from typical, Nnamdi proposed two weeks after they met, and they tied the knot just four months later.
She said she was young and unsure at the time, but was drawn to the way he loved her.
Reflecting on their journey, Nnamdi offered a piece of advice to young couples.
“Marriage is a responsibility. You don’t go into a marriage expecting it to happen to you. You are the relationship. It’s between two people; you have to make it work,” he said.
