Kunle Adegoke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has formally declared his intention to run in the Osun State governorship election slated for the 8th of August, 2026, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
The announcement took place on Monday, the 11th of August, 2025, at the APC state secretariat in Osogbo.
Adegoke, who contested for the party’s ticket during the 2018 primaries, used the occasion to share his plans if elected.
He promised to prioritise the welfare of teachers and healthcare workers, vowing to take a tough stance against corruption.

“If I am given the party’s ticket and eventually elected governor, I will fight corruption vigorously and ensure that public resources are channelled towards serving the people, not a select privileged few,” he said.
Adegoke also pledged major infrastructure projects, stronger security measures, and governance rooted in transparency and efficiency.
“The people of Osun deserve a government that is not only responsive but proactive; not just well-intentioned, but effective and visionary. A government capable of driving prosperity, creating wealth, and reducing dependence on federal allocations,” he added.
