Nigerian singer Simi has called for disciplinary action against the airport staff responsible for circulating a video that exposed Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson indecently.
In an Instagram story, the mother of one questioned why Emmanson was penalized for her conduct while those who filmed and shared the footage without censoring her private parts faced no consequences.
She described the act of posting the unedited clip as a violation of privacy, stressing that it should not go unpunished.
“Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, recorded her being exposed like that, and then posted it without editing out this exposure or blurring it out. I personally want to know who posted that video and why no one is holding him/her accountable. Because they will face the law.
But voluntarily posting her half-naked for millions of people to see when less than 10 people actually witnessed it in the first place deserves punishment too because you cannot condemn one madness and leave another one,” she said.

The incident happened on Ibom Air Flight Q153 when Emmanson refused to turn off her phone during takeoff.
A confrontation with flight crew and ground staff followed, leading to her removal from the aircraft.
The video of the altercation later went viral on social media.
