In a move likely to bring some relief to motorists, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a ₦30 slash in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), reducing it from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre.
The price adjustment, which took effect on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, was confirmed in a statement by Anthony Chiejina, the refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer.
Chiejina described the decision as part of the company’s “unwavering commitment to national development,” adding that Nigerians could expect a steady and uninterrupted supply of fuel.
Beyond the price cut, the refinery revealed a significant step toward greener logistics.

The announcement comes at a time when fuel prices and energy policy remain hot-button topics across Nigeria, with the Dangote refinery’s decisions closely watched by industry players, government officials, and consumers alike.
