Southern Govs Mourn with Ododo over Father’s Death

The Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF) has extended condolences to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State following the death of his father, Alhaji Sani Ododo, who passed away on August 18 at the age of 83.

In a message issued on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the Chairman of the forum and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, described the late Alhaji Ododo as a man of faith and humility whose life left behind enduring legacies of service to God and humanity.

“We are proud that late Ododo was surrounded by the love of his children and grandchildren, who will continue to uphold his legacy in service to God and humanity,” Abiodun stated on behalf of the 17-member forum.

He noted that the loss of a devoted father who gave so much to nurture his children in the ways of Allah and who was always available to offer guidance and counsel is a void that cannot be easily filled.

The forum prayed for Allah’s mercy on the late Alhaji Ododo, asking that his shortcomings be forgiven and that he be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Alhaji Sani Ododo, until his passing, was a respected community leader in Kogi State, remembered for his modest lifestyle, strong faith, and dedication to raising a God-fearing family.
