Veteran Nigerian comedian and actor, Alibaba, has joined well-wishers in celebrating Chief (Dr) Alfred Akpophiohwobo Akpobome (JP), the Otota R’Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, on the occasion of his 95th birthday.
In a message shared via his Instagram story on Wednesday, Alibaba described the milestone as a remarkable testament to God’s grace, longevity, and an accomplished life.
He noted that Chief Akpobome, who was honoured with a thanksgiving service, has lived a life of impact, blessed with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, wives, and an extended family.
Reflecting on his achievements, Alibaba highlighted the celebrant’s diverse journey spanning several roles, including teacher, soldier, administrator, civil servant, businessman, banker, broadcaster, realtor, curator, and politician.

“Having witnessed over half of the journey, I can only say, you have come, seen and conquered,” the comedian wrote, offering prayers for continued health, peace, and fulfillment in Chief Akpobome’s later years.
The 95-year-old elder statesman, fondly referred to as a custodian of wisdom and culture, continues to be celebrated as an influential figure within the Agbarha-Otor Kingdom and beyond.
