Lil Kesh Survives Robbery Attack, Says ‘I’m safe, healing’

Nigerian rapper Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, has reassured fans of his safety after surviving a robbery attack in Lagos.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, when armed men reportedly attacked the artist, carting away jewellery worth millions of naira. During the attack, Lil Kesh sustained a stab wound to the neck.

In a message shared on his official social media page on Thursday, August 21, 2025, he wrote: “Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers.”

The post came after hours of speculation on social media about his condition, with fans expressing concern over unconfirmed reports of the robbery. His confirmation helped ease public anxiety as he assured supporters that he is recovering.

As of press time, neither the Lagos State Police Command nor the artiste’s management had issued an official statement on the incident.

Lil Kesh rose to fame in 2014 with his hit single Shoki under Olamide’s YBNL Nation and went on to release his debut album Y.A.G.I. in 2016. In April 2025, he dropped a seven-track project titled Forever Getting It (FGI), reinforcing his relevance in the Afrobeats and street-hop scene.

The latest incident has sparked an outpouring of prayers and goodwill messages from fans, colleagues, and industry figures, many of whom have taken to social media to wish him a quick recovery.
