Nigerian Student Clinches Top Global Honour in Cambridge English Exam

Nigerian student Kenechukwu Oluwanifemi Uba has been recognised as the Top in the World for the November 2024 Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) examination.

The award, part of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, was presented during a ceremony at the Civic Centre in Lagos on Friday, August 29, 2025.

The event was organised by the British Council in collaboration with Cambridge International.

Dr. Oladega Adebogun, Proprietor and CEO of Caleb Group of Schools and University, praised Uba’s achievement, saying her success reflects the school’s values of integrity, perseverance, and innovation.

He added that the school’s investment in modern teaching methods, including AI-driven language labs, played a key role in helping students reach their full potential.

Uba said the recognition was the result of dedication, hard work, and support from her teachers, classmates, and family.
