Media star Toke Makinwa has penned an emotional message to her newborn daughter, Yakira Eliana.
She shared that becoming a mother has brought her deep joy, describing how her little girl has helped her heal wounds she had carried since childhood.
Toke poured out her affection, saying she is already captivated by her daughter’s eyes and discovering new things about her each day.
The new mom also revealed that she recently gave Yakira her first manicure, which made her imagine the fun spa outings they would share in the years to come.
Speaking further, she mentioned her eagerness to raise her child in the faith and expressed gratitude to everyone who reached out with prayers and kind words.

She posted the note on her Instagram on the 31st of August, 2025, writing, “YaYa’s mummy. To the girl who changed my status, she’s healed the broken heart I’ve carried since I was 8. I am drowning in her big ol’ eyes and learning so much of her already. Today, I did her first manicure and couldn’t help but imagine our future spa dates. I can’t wait to introduce her to Jesus. I’m in love. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, blessings, and heartfelt messages. I see you all.”
Becoming a mother, she explained, was something she had long prayed for, especially before turning 40, and she believes God answered that prayer.
Toke also admitted that her pregnancy came with hurdles and that she was at first hesitant to go public about it. But she said she drew strength from her faith, holding on to the belief that “the gift of the Lord makes so much riches without adding sorrow.”
Recall that she announced the birth of her baby girl on the 28th of August, 2025, describing it as her long- awaited miracle.
