The Police Command in Katsina has arrested some suspected arms traffickers in Ingawa Local Government Area while on their way to Safana.
The suspects were found in possession of dangerous weapons during the operation.
This was disclosed in a statement quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Monday.

According to intelligence Sources, the suspects had since been handed over to the appropriate security authorities for further investigation.
“The arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal arms and to strengthen security in Katsina and neighbouring communities,” the statement added.
