Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged security agencies to uphold professionalism and avoid partisanship, warning that Osun must not be turned into a political battlefield despite being the home state of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement on Thursday, September 4, his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the governor gave the charge during the decoration of his Aide-De-Camp, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ahmed Bio Abdulraman, at the Government House, Osogbo.
The event was witnessed by Osun Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gotan, NSCDC State Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo, FRSC Sector Commander Leye Adegboyega, and other service chiefs.

Governor Adeleke commended the Nigeria Police Force for what he described as its professionalism and discipline, praising the Inspector General of Police and the Osun Command for their commitment to due process.
He singled out Commissioner Gotan for his leadership style, which, according to him, has brought peace and order to the state.
While emphasising the importance of synergy among security agencies, Adeleke appealed to them to remain neutral in the political atmosphere.
“We should continue to maintain a level playing field. This is the home state of Mr. President. Mr. President belongs to all of us. Osun should not be turned into a battleground,” he said.
