Reality TV star and influencer, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has backed Big Brother Naija’s decision to disqualify Faith, one of the finalists in Season 10 of the reality show.

Speaking during an interview on TVC, Tacha said the disqualification was justified, noting that Faith’s conduct breached the show’s rules and the principle of mutual respect among housemates.

“People are saying Faith shouldn’t have left, but I think he should have. When I saw the clip of what happened — the dragging of the Head of House’s bucket — it just didn’t make sense. As much as we demand respect, we should also give it, especially to the office of the Head of House,” she said.

Tacha, who herself was disqualified from the Pepper Dem edition in 2019 following a confrontation with fellow housemate Mercy Eke, emphasized that any form of physical altercation in the Big Brother house violates the rule book.

“There’s a rule book in the house. You can’t, in any way, be physical with another housemate. Once that line is crossed, Big Brother has every right to decide your fate,” she explained.

She added that Faith’s attitude after the incident may have contributed to the decision, saying his lack of remorse during the diary session reflected poorly on him.

Reflecting on her own experience, Tacha stated that being selected as a housemate is already an achievement. “In my head, even if I get evicted, I’m still a winner. Maybe that’s the same mindset Faith has — confidence, or maybe overconfidence — but that’s how it looked,” she added.
