Over 18,000 Demand Ned Nwoko Probe Over Regina Daniels’ Family Feud

More than 18,000 Nigerians have signed an online petition calling for an investigation into Senator Ned Nwoko over allegations of intimidation and abuse of power against his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, and her family.

The petition, titled “Hold Ned Nwoko Accountable for Abuse of Power,” was launched on Change.org and accuses the lawmaker of using his political influence to harass members of the Daniels family.

It has so far garnered over 18,662 signatures as of press time and continues to attract nationwide attention.

Regina’s brothers, Samuel Daniels (popularly known as Sammy West) and Lawrence Daniels, alleged that the senator ordered their arrest.

They claimed Sammy is being held at Ogombo Police Station in the Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos and denied access to food, water, and visitors.

Lawrence also alleged via Instagram that the senator admitted to slapping Regina “twice” and should be held responsible if anything happens to any member of the family.

However, the Lagos State Police Command has denied arresting any member of the Daniels family.

Police sources told Premium Times that no such operation was recorded, describing the matter as a domestic dispute rather than a criminal case.

Petitioners are urging the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges and the National Human Rights Commission to open a formal investigation, arguing that the allegations raise serious concerns about misuse of political power and human-rights violations.

Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, has not publicly responded to the allegations as of press time.

The case has sparked nationwide debate on accountability, influence, and the limits of political power in private affairs.
