Nollywood actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels has publicly called out her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, over the alleged violent arrest of her brother. The actress made the accusation in a post shared via her Instagram story on Monday, expressing anger and disappointment at the treatment of her sibling by law enforcement.
In the emotional post, Regina questioned the basis of the alleged arrest, stating:
“Imagine the Nigerian police beating up my brother like a criminal. What exactly was the violent arrest for? Ned, you have power, connections and money, right? Wild for you to think I have none.”
She further suggested that she had refrained from taking certain actions out of respect, adding, “What I wouldn’t want to do to you is to let the man I once saw as an iroko fall before everyone, because you bloody know your ‘little girl Gina’ is capable of that.”
The actress also expressed frustration about the toll the controversy is taking on her family, particularly her sons, writing, “I just hate this feeling of wishing my boys’ father’s name remains a legacy. You know why? Boys don’t grow to change their surnames.”
Her post comes amid renewed public scrutiny surrounding her marriage to Senator Nwoko, following recent online reports of tension between the couple. Last month, a viral video circulated online alleging domestic issues within their household, though neither Regina nor the senator has publicly confirmed the claims.
