The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, over alleged criminal activities.
In a statement issued on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the police received a petition on October 28 against Sammy West and three others, accusing them of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.
According to the police statement, multiple invitations were extended to Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, but he failed to honour them. Consequently, the police executed a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court.
“Upon receipt of the petition, several invitations were extended to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, which were not honoured. Mr. Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” the statement read in part.

The command confirmed that Ojeogwu is currently assisting with investigations at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Abuja.
The case has since attracted widespread attention on social media, with fans and followers of the actress reacting to the development as police investigations continue.
