Anambra Poll: Peter Obi Yet to Vote as INEC Officials Arrive Agulu Polling Unit

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Mr. Peter Obi, had yet to cast his vote as of 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, despite the arrival of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials at his polling unit in Anambra State.

Obi, a former governor of the state, is expected to vote at Umudimakasi, Agulu Ward 2, Polling Unit 008, where a large number of residents and supporters gathered in anticipation of his arrival.

Election officials at the polling centre confirmed that accreditation and voting had commenced, but the Labour Party stalwart had not yet appeared at the venue.

Residents of Anambra are voting today to decide the state’s political future, with many closely monitoring developments in Agulu, Obi’s hometown, known to be a major political base in the state.
