Gunmen suspected to be members of the Lakurawa armed group, have on Thursday killed three Nigeria Immigration Officers after a brutal attack on a checkpoint in Bakin Ruwa community, Bagudu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The attackers also set a patrol vehicle ablaze and destroyed the shelter area at the checkpoint during the assault.
A security analyst Bakatsines shared this in a post accompanied by a video on his X handle on Friday.
“Yesterday night, gunmen suspected to be Lakurawa attack Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) checkpoint in Bakin Ruwa community, Bagudu LGA of Kebbi State.

“They killed 3 NIS officer, set a vehicle ablaze and destroyed the shelter area during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
Bakatsine further asked; “What steps do you think communities and authorities can take to improve safety in situations like this?.”
