EPL: Chelsea’s Palmer Back in Action, Maresca Warns Fans to Be Patient

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that England international Cole Palmer has returned to action, describing the winger as “probably our best player” as the club prepares for upcoming fixtures.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s next game, Maresca expressed delight at Palmer’s recovery but emphasized the need for patience while the player regains full match fitness. “Palmer is back, and he’s probably our best player. We are happy he’s back. Now we need to give him time to be 100% match fit,” the coach told reporters.

Maresca also addressed the possibility of Palmer and Estêvão featuring together in the same lineup, saying their inclusion will depend on the opposition and tactical plan. “They can play together, for sure. It depends on which team and the game plan. But for sure, they, and the fans, are excited. We are excited,” he added.

The comments indicate Maresca’s willingness to experiment with Chelsea’s attacking options as the club seeks to find the right balance in its lineup.

Palmer, who had been sidelined due to a fractured toe, is expected to miss two Premier League games and Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Barcelona next week, but his return is seen as a boost to the team’s offensive options.
