IPOB Legal Consultant Thanks Igbos for Backing Nnamdi Kanu Amid Life Sentence

Aloy Ejimakor, legal adviser to Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu, has publicly thanked the Igbo community for their unwavering support for Kanu following his life imprisonment.

Ejimakor made the remarks in a post on his verified X account on Thursday, in the wake of kanu November 20, 2025, conviction by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The lawyer described the judgment as an indictment on the Igbo people as a whole rather than on Kanu alone. “Even as I had publicly and severally done this in the past, let me again thank Ndigbo—leaders and the led, at home and in the diaspora—for the fraternity and support you’ve extended to Nnamdi Kanu since this ordeal began in 2015. It proves that Igbos are united behind Kanu. Yes,” Ejimakor wrote.
