Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has broken his silence amid mounting speculation over the turmoil in his marriage to Natasha, blaming some members of his family for inflaming the crisis rather than resolving it.
The controversy, which has dominated social media chatter for days, reportedly began in the United Kingdom after an argument between the couple allegedly drew the attention of authorities, leading to the singer’s brief arrest according to accounts trending online.
Tensions flared further during a recent Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, where 2Baba and Natasha engaged in a heated exchange in full view of thousands of viewers.

Adding to the storm was a cryptic message posted by 2Baba’s brother,

But in a viral video released on social media, 2Baba pushed back strongly, insisting that the narrative portraying him as someone who needs rescuing is misguided and damaging.
Instead, he accused certain family members of worsening an already delicate situation.
“This whole thing has gotten dangerously out of hand,” he said. “I am a grown man, and I have the right to be with whoever I want to be with. My family, in the pretext of trying to save me, has actually destroyed me and killed someone’s daughter’s character. Natasha is getting death threats right now.”

He acknowledged disagreements in his marriage but condemned the extent to which the situation has been amplified. “Fine, we have had our quarrels, but who doesn’t quarrel with their spouses? This is getting out of hand. I am perfectly okay… How do you say you want to save me but you are messing the whole thing up? This is unacceptable.”
The singer also referenced similar tensions that once surrounded his relationship with his wife, Annie Idibia, suggesting a pattern of interference that he described as “dangerous.”
