The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the member representing Egor Constituency, Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week following the circulation of a viral video involving her and her husband, music star 2Baba.
The directive was issued during plenary on December 2, 2025, after lawmakers reviewed the video, which captured the lawmaker in a heated exchange with her husband at a shop in a London airport.
The footage, widely shared on social media, shows Natasha raising her voice in what appeared to be a tense confrontation, prompting public criticism and renewed scrutiny of her conduct as a public office holder.
Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, while announcing the summons, said the incident had brought embarrassment to the legislature and risked undermining the image of the House.
He noted that members were expected to uphold standards befitting their positions, both within and outside official settings.
The Ethics and Privileges Committee has been mandated to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident and report back to the House within two weeks.
Natasha is required to appear before the committee to provide clarification and respond to concerns raised about the video.

Failure to honour the invitation could result in disciplinary action under the Assembly’s standing rules.
The development adds to the growing public interest surrounding the lawmaker, whose relationship with the musician had drawn attention earlier in the year.
Her appearance before the committee is expected to determine whether the incident constitutes a breach of legislative ethics.
