Osimhen Misfires as Balogun Strikes Winner in Galatasaray’s UCL Defeat to Monaco

Galatasaray suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat away to AS Monaco on Tuesday night, with Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen unable to add to his Champions League tally.

The decisive moment came in the 68th minute when another Nigerian star, Folarin Balogun, calmly finished to hand the French side all three points at the Stade Louis II.

Osimhen, who has been in strong form domestically, struggled to break through Monaco’s well-organised defence despite several promising moves from the Turkish champions.

For Monaco, Balogun’s goal secured a vital home victory and further cemented his growing reputation in European competition.
