Osimhen Shines with Brace as Galatasaray Defeat Bodø/Glimt 3–1 in Champions League

Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen continued his fine form in front of goal, netting a brace as Galatasaray recorded a commanding 3–1 victory over Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night.

Osimhen wasted no time announcing his presence, opening the scoring just three minutes into the game with a clinical finish that set the tone for the Turkish champions.

The Super Eagles striker doubled Galatasaray’s advantage in the 33rd minute, capitalising on a defensive error to slot home his second of the night and give the home side a comfortable lead before the break.

The hosts extended their dominance in the 60th minute, when Yunus Akgün found the back of the net with a composed effort to make it 3–0.

Bodø/Glimt managed to pull one back in the 75th minute through Helmerson A., but it proved nothing more than a consolation as Galatasaray maintained control to seal all three points.

With the double, Osimhen has now scored three goals in two Champions League appearances this season, reaffirming his reputation as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.

The victory strengthens Galatasaray’s position in their Champions League group as they continue their push for a place in the knockout stages.
