The Ogun State Government has announced the payment of end-of-year salary bonuses to its workforce as part of efforts to reward public servants for their contributions to the development of the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, the government said the gesture was aimed at appreciating workers for their dedication and commitment to duty throughout the year.
Onasanya described the state workforce as dependable partners in the implementation of the administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda and urged them to remain committed to the goals of the government.
He said the payment of the bonus, which cuts across all categories of state government employees, reflects the administration’s inclusive approach to staff welfare, motivation and service delivery.
“The bonus also acknowledges the critical role of public servants in driving the government’s Building Our Future Together agenda,” Onasanya said.
The end-of-year bonus is a yearly practice under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun and forms part of the government’s continued focus on the welfare and well-being of its workforce.
Several workers described the payment as timely, noting that it would help them meet rising household expenses associated with the festive season.
They also expressed appreciation for the early payment of the December 2025 salary, which they said had eased financial pressure and boosted morale across ministries, departments and agencies.
