Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 Ebonyi election, has resigned from the party, effective January 1, 2026.
In his resignation letter to the PDP ward chairman in Isuachara, Onicha LGA, Odii cited consultations with his family and close allies, while thanking party leaders for the platform to contest the 2023 election.

He won the PDP governorship ticket in 2022 and ran on a platform of industrialisation, job creation, and state development, maintaining a high public profile even after losing the March 2023 election.
