Atiku Pays Tribute To Fallen Heroes On Armed Forces Remembrance

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has joined millions of Nigerians in commemorating Armed Forces Remembrance Day, paying tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes and honouring serving military personnel for their courage and sacrifice.

In a message shared via his official X account on Thursday, Atiku said he and his family marked the day in solemn remembrance and deep gratitude to the brave men and women of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.

He honoured those who paid the supreme sacrifice in defence of the country, describing their selflessness, resilience and patriotism as the foundation upon which Nigeria’s freedom and unity rest. Atiku also saluted serving officers who continue to protect the nation with discipline and unwavering commitment.

According to him, the sacrifices of Nigeria’s military personnel serve as a constant reminder that the country’s peace and liberties are secured by their devotion to duty.

Armed Forces Remembrance Day is observed annually to honour fallen soldiers and recognise the ongoing contributions of military personnel across the country.
