Samuel Chukwueze made a dream return to club football after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring a crucial equaliser as Fulham came from behind to defeat Brighton 2–1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The visitors took the lead in the 28th minute through Yasin Ayari, silencing the home crowd with a well-taken finish that gave Brighton control of the contest going into the break.
Fulham head coach turned to his bench in the 59th minute, introducing Chukwueze in a bid to spark a comeback, and the Nigerian winger delivered in style.
Thirteen minutes after his introduction, Chukwueze struck in the 72nd minute to restore parity, firing Fulham back on level terms in his first appearance since returning from AFCON duty.

With both sides pushing for a winner, the game appeared headed for a draw until late drama unfolded in stoppage time.
Harry Wilson emerged as the hero, scoring in the 90+2 minute to complete the turnaround and secure all three points for the London club.
