Popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre over an alleged cybercrime case involving fellow actress Mercy Johnson.
According to reports, Okorie was arrested at her Lagos residence and subsequently taken into custody by officers attached to the Cybercrime Unit. She was reportedly held overnight at the Yaba Police Station (Panti) due to the unavailability of an immediate flight to Abuja at the time of her arrest.
Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that the actress was flown to Abuja early Tuesday morning, where she is expected to face court proceedings connected to the alleged cybercrime case.
