Popular internet personality, Isaac Fayose, has declared that the 2027 presidential race will revolve solely around former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi.
Fayose made the assertion in a Facebook post on Thursday, the 29th of January, while reacting to the large turnout witnessed at a recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council poll campaign attended by Obi. According to him, the scale of public support on display signals a clear political direction ahead of the next general election.
He wrote, “Humongous crowd turns out for Peter Obi during FCT council poll campaign. It’s PETER OBI or nothing. E go loud,” expressing confidence in Obi’s growing national appeal.

Reports indicate that Peter Obi was in the FCT on Monday, the 26th of January, 2026, to campaign for candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the upcoming council elections.
Speaking during the campaign activities, Obi explained that the outreach was designed to foster closer interaction with grassroots communities while encouraging a model of leadership built on accountability, service, and people-centred governance.
