Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has recalled his survival of a helicopter crash that occurred in Kabba, Kogi State, seven years ago, expressing gratitude to God for sparing his life.
Osinbajo made the reflection in a thanksgiving post shared on his official Instagram page on Monday, where he thanked God for His protection and faithfulness.
“You have been faithful. More than just faithful… 7 years ago, You carried every one of us out of that helicopter crash without a single scrape. Not one life lost. Not one wound left behind. Only mercy. Only grace,” the former Vice President wrote.
He described the experience as a moment of divine intervention, noting that all occupants of the helicopter emerged unhurt from the crash.
“Lord, we are deeply grateful. We give You all the glory, all the honour, and all the adoration,” he added.

In a similar post, Osinbajo’s wife, Dolapo, also took to her Instagram page to remember the incident and thank God for His deliverance.
“Remembering the helicopter crash of 2nd February 2019. I give praise and thanks to God for His great deliverance,” she wrote, citing Psalm 104:1.
It will be recalled that in February 2019, a helicopter conveying the then Vice President crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State, with no injuries recorded. The incident was reported as the second air mishap Osinbajo survived within a seven-month period.
