Lookman Shines On Atlético Madrid Debut As Simeone’s Side Thrash Betis 5–0

Ademola Lookman marked his Atlético Madrid debut in style, registering a goal and an assist as Diego Simeone’s men cruised to a dominant 5–0 victory over Real Betis on Thursday night in the Copa del Rey quarter-final.

Atlético set the tone early, with D. Hancko opening the scoring in the 12th minute before G. Simeone doubled the advantage in the 30th minute to put the hosts firmly in control.

Despite missing two clear opportunities, Lookman eventually found his rhythm, showcasing fine dribbling and close control to score Atlético’s third goal in the 37th minute.

The Nigerian forward continued to impress after the break, providing a precise assist for Antoine Griezmann in the 62nd minute to extend Atlético’s lead to 4–0.
